Tears in the Rain: Blade Runner
£200.00Price
World mythologies reference a divine flood that wipes out worlds before resurrection again and again. When the waters are flooding one seeks higher ground and gains new perspectives.
Like a divine deity, the filmmaker turns on the rain to precipitate growth, refreshment, purification, and sometimes disaster. Falling water embraces and holds the victims, blurring boundaries between the hero and their surroundings.
This series of paintings explores themes of loss, acceptance, awakening, and rebirth; it captures the characters when they stop running, surrender, and wake up.
