In the face of chaos, the road ahead offers direction and confidence that others have been there before. This series of paintings explores the themes of transition, attempted escape from oneself, search for meaning and hope — as seen through the Hitchcock cinematic universe. 

 

Our heroes can be on the right track, stuck in traffic or heading towards a dead end. Holding the steering wheel provides an illusion of control. Like the road, life twists and turns, changes direction, offers adventures and heads onwards to its eventual destination: Death.
